Pricing & one-time link FAQ

What is a one-time use link?

A one-time use link is a short URL that works exactly once. As soon as the recipient opens it, the link self-destructs and any future visit shows a "burn notice" page. Useful for sharing credentials, sensitive documents, or temporary access where you don't want the URL to live forever in chat history or email.

How is 1use.lol different from a regular URL shortener?

Regular shorteners like bit.ly track every click, never expire, and store your destination in plain text. 1use.lol encrypts the destination at rest with AES-256-GCM, marks the link burned after the first read, doesn't log who clicked, and gives you per-link passphrase protection plus time-bound expiry up to 365 days.

Can I share a photo as a one-time view?

Yes. Upload an image (PNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, HEIC) up to 5 MB on the Free plan or up to 100 MB on Teams. Your recipient gets a short URL that, when opened, decrypts the image for 5 seconds in the browser, then auto-destructs. The encrypted file is wiped from server storage after view.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. 5 one-time shares (URL or photo) per month, no card required. Free accounts see ads. Upgrade to Pro or Teams anytime.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Billing stops at the end of the current period and you keep Free-tier access. We do not auto-renew without a clear notice and you can downgrade from your dashboard.

Do you store the destination URL in plain text?

No. Destinations are sealed with AES-256-GCM with a unique 96-bit IV per share. They are decrypted only at the moment a valid one-time link resolves.

Do you log who clicked my one-time link?

No. We count clicks against the burn cap but do not log IPs, user agents or referrers when a link resolves.
